Keeping In Touch

One of the most important networking philosophies is to keep in touch.  When a close colleague moves away, it is not the end of the friendship. When a research collaboration or industrial partnership begins, making the connection successful requires that you keep in touch.  Today, emails, Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn and online chatting make keeping in touch a lot easier.  Or go a little further and invite colleagues and professional acquaintances to present in seminars, workshops and colloquia at your university.
