I have collected a number of websites that offer useful, inspiring and honest career and networking advice. They are listed below in no particular order.

  1. The American Mathematical Society has an on the market blog which focuses on career advice for mathematicians.
  2. Work the Pond dispenses networking tips and is managed by a team of three professional networkers.
  3. The Black Hole focuses on Canadian issues affecting those who have pursued the sciences at a high level.
  4. PhD Career Clinic offers alternative career advice and resources for those who want to move outside of their PhD expertise.  The website also a long list of online career resources.
  5. Toronto Entrepreneurs is a new business magazine. There are many online articles available related to networking, health and wellness at work, people management, balancing your budget , biographies and much more.
  6. Alberta Graduate Council represents the interests of graduate students studying at an Alberta post-secondary institution.
  7. Innovation Canada highlights the research (in all fields) being conducted in Canada.
